What does membership offer?
The Society holds nine lectures each year, open to members and their guests. Membership costs £51 per person per calendar year. Pro-rata reduced rates are available to new members joining during the year. We welcome guests at lectures, and you may want to try out a lecture as a guest before deciding whether to join. There is a charge of £6 per person for guests.
Members also have the opportunity to go on the Society’s trips to places of artistic interest such as galleries, stately homes and gardens, to go to concerts, opera and the theatre, and to attend special interest days. Several trips take place each year; most are to destinations in the UK and last one or a few days, and from time to time longer trips abroad are included. Trips and other special events involve an extra cost to members.
The Arts Society Derby is affiliated to our parent national organisation, The Arts Society, and members receive its quarterly magazine ‘The Arts Society Review’.
